Welcome to Life of a Little Songbird. 

I'm a Floridian. believer. wife. daughter. sister. singer. shopaholic. small town girl. born & raised southerner. imperfect. a 20-something. slightly OCD. chocolate lover. generation Y. avid tweeter. 

I started this blog to post ramblings about life, my love, my beliefs, my family, my friends, recipes, dreams, rants etc!

I have always had a journal as a kid growing up. I still have one now in my adult life. (Or more like a few...) I love to write down quotes, advice, memories or just my thoughts. So I thought why not start a blog! I don't claim to be this amazing writer. I hated English class in school. So please forgive my grammatical errors or my "southern slang" that will come through this here blog of mine. (See told you..) 

I've always loved reading other blogs. Lifestyle, fashion, cooking, all blogs! My favorite would have to be lifestyle blogs. I love to read the insides of someone else's life, the funny, the good, the bad, whatever they choose to share and be able to relate to that. I hope that my blog gives you a good laugh or motivates you or maybe even gives you encouragement on a rough day.

You're probably wondering where the name "Life of a Little Songbird" came from. Well as I mentioned above I am a singer. I've been singing apparently since I could form full sentences. My mom says I would make up songs about the wash cloth & soap in the tub as a child. LOL... So somewhere along the years my mom started calling me her little songbird... I started singing in church at a young age, did some talent shows, competitions, weddings etc. I still sing in church today or any other place I have the chance. I love it. Next to being hopelessly in love with my husband, its the best high I've ever felt on this earth. I know my voice is a gift from God, it is not my own. I hope that God continues to open doors for me to use my gift.

    hi, Ashli! nice to "meet" you! i like to think i'm a pretty neat singer too. ;) and oh, you remind me of 'songbird', a song by jillian edwards, you should probably listen to it (if you don't already know it). now, i'm going to stalk your 'love story' page. :)
