You may remember my wreath from last year
I just change out the flowers for each season. Or leave it plain with just the burlap.
It is currently hanging on my laundry room door. Hence the sign :)

My table arrangement

Cake plate - wedding gift
Table Runner - Marshalls

So obviously Marshalls is a good place to shop for home décor. Good prices. & Michaels is the best for finding all your floral fall stems. They are actually having a sale right now too! 50% off on all fall floral. So go fast & get it before its all gone!

Happy decorating! :)

Sometimes I get a little crafty

If you remember in this post, I mentioned I was working on a paint project. I found this cabinet at a Goodwill store. Its actually a china cabinet but I just wanted the bottom piece. We are going to put it in our living room for a tv stand.

The finished product! Used Country White color with Glaze Effects over it to give it the rustic look.

You will notice between the doors there is a piece missing. I painted the wrong side of the wood so I had to take it off and paint it obviously. It only took me 3 months to finish it! Ha! I have been slacking! I am one of those people who gets these big DIY ideas but by the end of it I no longer have any excitement. I just want to get it done. Have you done any DIYs lately? How do you handle them?

FINALLY getting some engagement/wedding pictures ready to put up! Only 1 1/2 years late. I am going to make a picture wall in our bedroom. I love these rustic frames. I found 2 of them at Kirklands a few months ago. Then I found more at a Bealls Outlet in Daytona Beach on vacation. Super excited to hang these!

nothing to do with my crafting just love this pic :)
Saturday night my hubs was working overtime so I went out to dinner with my parents & little brother. We were riding around San Marco area in Jacksonville. Had to take this picture of the St Johns River. San Marco has gorgeous old houses. It was nice to ride around & just sight see (even though I've been living right outside of Jacksonville my whole life)

Hope you have a happy Wednesday! :)

Rustic DIY Furniture Projects

It has been a good Monday! Why? Because I know I only have to work 4 days this week then I am off to Savannah for mine & the hubs anniversary trip! Can't wait!

I wanted to share some pictures with you guys. I mentioned in this post that I was working on some furniture projects. We had a BIG dresser and 2 night stands to paint for our bedroom. I LOVE the rustic look that is ever so popular right now. It is ALL over Pinterest. I've got some other ideas swimming around in my head for furniture projects but this is what I have finished for now.

Before pic of the night stand after it was sanded down

Teal base coat

Finished product with glaze & polyurethane coat

I also spray painted the hardware

Before pic of the 11 drawer dresser. HUGE

Finished project in our bedroom. Excuse the non matching curtains
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics. All I can say is it is a whole lot of work to DIY! Well more time consuming that anything. But it was worth it. I love these pieces of furniture. And it was WAYYYY cheaper than going out and buying new furniture. Especially the rustic style furniture. A lot of people are overpricing that stuff right now just because its popular.

Have you ever tried some DIY furniture projects from Pinterest? How did they turn out?

Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!
