Some things on Tuesday

Welcome to Tuesday. Better than Monday ,but no where near as awesome as Friday.

Some things going on currently with me, myself & I.

1. I absolutely cannot wait for this weekend! I will be Daytona bound Friday afternoon as soon as I get off work! I can't wait to just relax & soak up some Florida sunshine. I need a tan something serious.

2. I haven't been very motivated to post lately. Obviously. I know there is no "rule" about how much you should post on your blog ,but sometimes you just feel obligated. Do you ever feel like that?

3. I have been doing Weight Watchers the past couple of weeks with my best fran Han. I'm still kinda learning the ropes on it. I haven't been as strict as I should be. But I am seriously cracking down on myself. I have to.

4. ....I say I have to because I have a very negative image of myself right now. Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and think "OMG do I really look like that?" Yep. I had one of the moments.

5. I am going back to school in the fall. I am pretty nervous about this. Excited too. I just want to stay motivated & be proud of myself for accomplishing this.

6. I am addicted to Coke & sweets. I am so serious. If I could get that aspect of my diet under control (which I will dang it!) I would be so far ahead of the game!

7. I went to my little sis-in-laws high school graduation last night. They played the song I sang at my graduation in 2007. It made me feel a little nostalgic. Oh to be an 18 year old high school graduate again...

8. Speaking of.... I am starting to feel super old when people ask me what year I graduated. especially when their response is "oh wow!".... But then sometimes they say I thought you were younger than that! So I guess I shouldn't complain. Apparently I still look like a kid.

9. I have been reading this book. Very slowly. I am a slacker when it comes to reading. (unless its Twilight. yes I was one of THOSE nerds) I really want to go in depth with this book though. I haven't been keeping up with a devotion lately and I really should be.

10. I like my job. As in the actual job I do. The people I work with, not so much. It really affects my day a lot of the time. More than I would like it to. I need to do something about that.

11. Some negativity in this post.... Sorry about that. I have had kind of a bad attitude in general lately. I really think that stems from my bad view of myself right now.

12. I went to bed at 9pm Sunday night & it was absolutely glorious! I wish I could get myself in the bed every night at this time. Do you get your full 8 hours of sleep? How do you get everything done & do this?

Completely random post. Hope I didn't bore you guys to death!

Have a sunshiny day :)

Friday Pretties

Happy Friday Folks!

I get excited when I find a beauty product that I absolutely love! & I'm sure you do too! So I wanted to share some of my latest awesome beauty finds.

#1 NYX Roll On Shimmer

source Google
This stuff is GORGEOUS! I am serious. If you have not tried it go get some now! This is my fave color Salmon. Walnut is a really pretty color too. It goes on so smooth & lots & lots of SPARKLE! If you don't like sparkle stay far away! (I purchased mine at Target $3.99)
It really reminds me of the bareMinerals High Shine eyeshadow I mentioned in this post.

#2 Wet n Wild Lipstick

source Walgreens.com
This lipstick is only $1.89! How crazy is that?! I love the color "Bare It All". It is a very matte lipstick. Stays on well. Rich color. Just perfection.

#3 Rimmel London Primer

source Google

source Google
I have tried both of these primers & love both! They have a little bit of different texture between the two. The Stay Matte is a little bit thicker. Fix & Perfect has made my face tingle a little bit when applying it. Probably because I have sensitive skin & it has been a little dry lately which makes it more sensitive. I would recommend both. They both help hide pores & keep my oily skin under control. & again they are super cheap!

#4 Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

source Google
Which brings me to #4! You will not be disappointed using the primer & the Stay Matte foundation together. It has awesome coverage also. Which is something I desperately need. I have breakouts & old scars from breakouts. I will take all the help I can get!

#5 Garnier Moisture Rescue Refresh Gel Cream

source Google
This stuff is heaven for a girl like me with serious oily skin! I haven't been very good at moisturizing my skin lately. & from what I hear moisturizing is key to helping your skin age better. So I went on the hunt for a moisturizer I could use at night that wasn't greasy. I absolutely love this stuff. It feels cool to the touch when you apply it. It feels like it sucks right into my skin. I highly recommend this if you have oily skin.

#6 L'Oreal Colour Riche Colour Caresse Lipstick

source lorealparisusa.com
This is by far my most favorite lipstick of all time! I just happened to pick this out at Walgreens one day on a whim. It is the perfect color for me. & it goes on so smooth too. Try it out. You will love it.

I usually stick to the less pricier beauty products. I will splurge occasionally. But I love to share the good deals when I find them! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

What are some of your favorite beauty products?
Do you stick to the less expensive brands?
What are some of the products you splurge on?

Mushy

Here we are again! I really need 3 day weekends. I would be so much more productive during the week if I had Saturday through Monday off! Wouldn't you?

This weekend was so busy but so fun too! I am feeling a little mushy today. Lovey dovey. Whatever you want to call it. I had an awesome weekend with my husband. We had a little date night Friday night. Dinner at Chilis and a movie. We saw The Other Woman. So funny! You have to go see it if you haven't yet. We had a nice night just enjoying each others company.

My husband got the bright idea for us to get up at the crack of dawn Saturday morning to go walk on the beach. If you know anything about me you know that I despise mornings. But I agreed anyways and I'm really glad I did. I wasn't as tired as I thought I would be. The iced coffee helped. :)
We walked on the beach, sat down for awhile too & just talked. The beach has always been our thing. Our first date was in Fernandina Beach at a little seafood place. We spent multiple dates taking walks on the beach. (the perks of living in FL) He asked me to marry him on the beach. Hes a salt water fisher. We just love it. Sometimes we let life get us so busy that we forget to take some downtime for each other & relax. Talk about life & what we want for our life together. For those couple of hours nothing else mattered in the world. I was spending quality time with the man who holds my heart & thats all I needed.

If you feel like being "mushy" today with me. Check out this post on Huffington Post.

Happy Mushy Monday :)

Mom

With Mothers Day right around the corner I had to share some favorite pics of the two most important ladies in my life.

I won't know exactly what it means to be a mom until I am a mom myself one day. (maybe) But as I've come into my adult life I can look back and realize how much my mom sacrificed for me. & still does today. She put her heart & soul into my life. She made me who I am today. She showed me what being an amazing mom is really all about. I love you Ma :)

I couldn't have asked for a better mom-in-law. She raised my husband to be the amazing man that he is today. Shes a beautiful person inside & out. She is such a loving selfless woman. I thank God for my mom-in-law. She is awesome :)

Love on your mom this weekend & really show/tell her how much you appreciate her. Moms deserve far more appreciation than we could ever give them.

Sunday at the Farm

Why yes it is Wednesday! & yes I am just now doing a weekend update post! :)

Sunday my best friend Han & I went to an event in our hometown called "Sunday at the Farm" Market Day at NaVera Farms. I had never even heard about it until one of my co workers told me about it. I thought it would be a cool thing to do on Sunday afternoon just to get out of the house. & it helped that it was absolutely gorgeous weather Sunday! We've had some pretty gloomy days off & on here in FL lately. So the sunshine was nice.

The event had all kinds of vendors who were selling their home made goods/products. There were home made jams, organic honey, crafts, organic baked goods, organic livestock feed, organic fruits & veggies etc! The event was all about educating on organic, natural products & the way the farm cares for their animals & plant life through organic methods. To be honest I really do not have much knowledge on the organic lifestyle ,but this event really sparked my interest.

some of the yummy home made jams! & they even let us do a taste test! :)

Delicious honey! "Stubbees" Check out their Facebook page!

I don't believe the Hawaiian Ice was organic but it was yummy!
Also a product I purchased but forgot take a pic of was Harlows' All Natural spray in Florida Rain scent. (I know I complain about FL rain but this stuff smells amazing!) Check their products out here.

Sunday at the Farm was fun & educational! & I got to spend the afternoon with my best friend Han. (the best part!) Of course Han & I forgot to take a pic together! Oh well, it was an awesome best friend date anyways!

Later Sunday afternoon the Hubs dragged me along to go golfing with him. I say dragged because I wasn't too excited about going because I don't golf. So I thought I would be bored. But I have to say I had a lot of fun. I drove the cart while the Hubs played 18 holes. (see I did pay attention!) I was pretty much his "caddy" (is that how you spell that? lol) I drove him around, kept score & pulled the flag out of the little hole when he went to putt. (I think I said that right? Ya know, golf lingo) It was gorgeous weather outside & it was nice to just spend some quality time with my man. & I caught some pretty awesome shots of my Hubs.

Isn't he the cutest? :)

Pretty cool shot. I caught the club bending.

Practice swings

Swing baby swing!

& I would like to say those bright red organish shorts are courtesy of me. :) He always looks the part when he plays. Now he just has to keep at it & get on the tour so I can quit my job! Ha! & we forgot to take a pic together also. FAIL.

So after all the crazy FL rain on Saturday this past weekend, Sunday turned out to be a nice fun relaxing day!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Captain of the struggle bus today. That would be me. I'm so tired my face hurts. Anyone else have this issue? No? Just me? I should really go to bed earlier ,but last night I had to stay up to watch my show NASHVILLE! Do you watch? If not you're missing out! The season finale is next week sooooo you should probably catch up! :)

Last weekend my Ma & I took a little mini vaca to our favorite place... Disney! We had one day left on our tickets so of course we had to go ASAP. It actually seemed a little less crowded than last time we went a couple of months ago. It was pretty warm, but not unbearable. Its getting into those awful temps here in Florida. There is nothing like FL heat & humidity. & I don't mean that in good way!

Necklace & glasses from Charlotte Russe

On the way to Orlando

Ready for the day with our ears on of course! :)

We had a blast! We rode all of our favorite rides. & had WAY too many sweets! Disney has a cart on every corner with ice cream, slushies, cookies, churros (OMG THE CHURROS) ETC ETC ETC!
Of course we fit some shopping into the trip! Duh! My Ma & I will always find a place to shop on vacation. We have a radar for it. Ha! It was a perfect girls trip.
& again I will say... Disney does not help my desire to have children whatsoever. If you have a little bit of baby fever going on, just take you a little trip to Disney for the day. I promise you will be cured within 2 minutes of being there.

Funny story... On the way home from Orlando we stopped to get gas. Well it seemed that my Ma stopped at the shadiest gas station in Orlando. When I went inside the store to pay I get in line & ya know just minding my own business. A guy standing in front me says (very loudly) "Danggggg we got Miley Cyrus in here tuhhh-dayyyy!" Yes exactly like that. I just kept staring at my wallet. Then it dawned on me... Miley Cyrus? Really? I am pretty sure I am not naked and/or have my tongue hanging out. GROSS. But I'm guessing he had to be referring to Hannah Montana Miley. I have long hair like she did then, that is THE ONLY resemblance. Apparently he hasn't seen the hot mess that is Miley Cyrus these days?

On a side note. I have some big news! NO I am not prego. But YES I will be going back to school in the fall. I have been thinking about it for a long time now. I'm totally terrified to go back to be honest. But I know its going to better my future & my career. My current employer will reimburse me for part of the tuition also because it relates to my position. So I am pretty excited! I know its going to be hard with working a full time job ,but I know I can do it if I just put my mind to it. & that is exactly what I plan to do.

Hope you have an awesome Thursday! :)
